jojolog is a personal meal and insulin log. It is not a medical device, not a glucose monitor, and not a substitute for clinical care. Use it only as your own record.
Who this covers
This policy applies to the jojolog iOS and Android apps. It is provided by the developer of jojolog.
What we collect
We do not create accounts. We do not run jojolog servers that receive your logs. We do not sell data. We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
If you never export a file, your logs do not leave your device through jojolog.
What the app stores on your device
jojolog stores entries you enter, including:
- food or item name
- place
- insulin (bolus) units
- carbs
- glucose (mg/dL), if you add it
- result (later, very low, low, stable, high, very high)
- notes and tags
- date and time
On iPhone and Android this is kept in a local database on the device. If you use the web version, the same kind of data is kept in your browser’s local storage.
Uninstalling the app, or clearing the site’s storage on web, deletes this data. There is no jojolog cloud backup.
Photos and files
If you import from Photos, jojolog reads only the images you pick, so it can extract text for a log. Images are processed on the device. They are not uploaded to us.
If you import a file (CSV, text, markdown, or image), jojolog reads that file on the device to draft log entries. You review drafts before anything is saved.
jojolog does not use the camera or microphone.
Siri and voice assistants
On iPhone you can ask Siri to start a log. On Android, Google Assistant / Gemini can open the add-log screen. The assistant on your phone may process what you say under Apple’s or Google’s own policies. jojolog only receives the details needed to prefill the form (for example item and units). It does not send that speech to us.
Export and sharing
If you export, jojolog creates a PDF, Markdown, or CSV file on your device and opens the system share sheet. Where that file goes (Files, Mail, Messages, iCloud, Drive, another app) is your choice and is covered by that service’s policy.
Device backups
If you use iCloud Backup, iTunes/Finder backup, or Android backup, your device maker may include the jojolog database in that backup. That is controlled by Apple or Google, not by a jojolog account.
Children
jojolog is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your choices
- Edit or delete any log in the app.
- Export a copy before you switch phones or uninstall.
- Revoke Photos access in iOS or Android Settings.
- Disable Siri / Assistant access to jojolog in system settings.
We cannot recover logs after you delete them or uninstall, because we do not hold a copy.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date on this page. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
